Re-imagining a record of the past
One of my strongest memories as a little girl was of my brother and I giddily running around in circles to the title track of Dire Straits’ 1991 album On Every Street. Reminiscent of a bittersweet time and place, the song has stayed with me well into adulthood. This re-imagining of the album packaging and sleeve booklet aim to capture what this album means to me now.
Grainy photographs were shot during rush hour at busy train stations and arterial roads, with ghostly figures from found photography digitally manipulated in. My own handwriting was used to write song lyrics.
