An existentialist survey for extraordinary times
With the UN’s startling deadline of less than 12 years to alleviate the worst effects of climate change, humanity is at a critical tipping point in its fragile existence. The Anthropocene era is well and truly here, and action to save our home needs to be swift and drastic. What can design do to make sure this issue is at the forefront of our collective consciousness?
In response, Earth Was Here was created – an interactive existentialist survey for extraordinary times. It is hoped that confronting some of life’s biggest and scariest questions head on will encourage participants to appreciate what little time we are given. To dramatically reduce consumption of limited resources, and place far greater value on our natural wonders, life experiences, and each other – before it’s too late.
