A publication on Australia's surf and beach culture

About This Project

A 100 page love letter to the origins and history of surf and beach culture in Australia. Intensive research of documentaries, books and interviews was undertaken to create a catalog of 500 images. The majority of these were individually scanned, filed and corrected to fit a bygone aesthetic. The reader is encouraged to look over our picturesque beaches through an old view master, a popular toy at the peak of Australia’s surfing culture in the 1970s.
